MFAB 152   Manufacturing Materials and Processes (3 Hours)

This is a beginning course in metal fabrication technology that is appropriate for the metal fabrication major and other interested students. Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to identify various manufacturing materials and processes currently used in industry. The capabilities and applications of machine tool, general fabrication, welding processes, robotics, cut-off equipment and other manufacturing processes and equipment will be studied. Lectures will be supplemented by class tours and demonstrations of various processes and equipment. Students are required to wear safety glasses during demonstrations.
