CJ 221 Forensic Science and Crime Scene Investigation (3 Hours)
This course provides an introduction to forensic science and the technical aspects involved in documenting, recovering, and processing evidence from crime scenes. Emphasis is on crime scene investigation, including Trace Evidence, Fingerprint Evidence, Biological Evidence, Firearms Evidence, Persons Processing, Death Investigations, Shooting Reconstruction, and Bloodstain Pattern Analysis. This course will also introduce the student to basic laboratory practices, including equipment utilized and basic methods of evidence analysis.
