HPER 224   Outdoor Recreation (3 Hours)

This course introduces the student to activities that create interaction between the individual and elements of the outdoor recreational setting. Provides basic knowledge for outdoor recreation under the guidelines of current outdoor and adventure ethics. Outdoor Recreation students study the fundamental basics and resources available for outdoor pursuits. Outdoor recreation projects may include a variety of outdoor activities, such as camping, hiking, nature observation, biking, rock climbing, canoeing, fishing, map and compass, outdoor safety, and how to plan and pack for outdoor adventures. 3 hrs. lecture/wk.
