Program Description

The Associate of Arts degree (A.A.) at JCCC is a general transfer degree and partners well with the first two years of most bachelor degree programs. Students pursuing the A.A. may select courses that satisfy both the A.A. degree requirements and lower division requirements for a bachelor’s degree at four-year institutions. The elective hours within the A.A. allow students to complete additional general education and lower division courses required for specific majors. The A.A. degree requires completion of 60 credit hours; please see JCCC A.A. degree requirements. The maximum number of hours from a community college that will be applied toward a bachelor’s degree at USM is 81 hours. Meeting with a JCCC counselor is strongly recommended for selection of appropriate courses.

The online Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Management degree from the University of Saint Mary is a degree-completion program and typically takes students less than two years to complete. The 62-credit curriculum has been designed by experienced professionals in the field to prepare students for management roles in varying industries such as advertising, promotions, and marketing. A manager's responsibilities often include strategizing and implementing marketing plans to help businesses grow their audience and consumer base.  

USM requires the successful completion of at least 120 credit hours to earn a bachelor’s degree. 

Admission Requirements

The online B.S. in Business Administration - Management is a degree-completion program, meaning incoming students must have completed their general education requirements before gaining entry. Other requirements include: 

  • Completed application
  • $25 Application fee (Waivers are available)
  • 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

The application deadline is 2 weeks before classes start. There are up to 5 starts per year. 

Students who complete the JCCC A.A. will be considered to have met the USM General Education requirements except for 3 credits of theology will be taken online thru USM. Please note: The University of Saint Mary is not participating in the Kansas (KBOR) Systemwide General Education framework. Students who transfer to USM without an A.A. will have all coursework evaluated on a course-by-course basis.
