Program DescriptionAll students must apply for admission to the university and the Nursing major. Applicants for the Nursing major will be reviewed on factors such as cumulative college GPA, number of credit hours taken at Avila, patterns and trends in academic history, and successful completion the TEAS exam for potential success in the nursing program. Students must complete the application process by the application deadline of January 10 for a Fall admission and by August 10th for the Spring admission. Admission RequirementsAll nursing students must have current certification in BCLS health provider course, an annual TB test, health insurance, and meet immunization and other agency requirements. Drug screening and criminal background checks will be required. A minimum of 60 semester hours must be completed at a four-year institution. The final thirty (30) hours must be completed at Avila University. Credit/No Credit Policy: No major courses specifically required for the major may be taken CR/NC.
