Master of Architecture, Master of Interior Architecture, Master of Industrial Design, Master of Landscape Architecture, or Master of Regional and Community PlanningThe College of Architecture, Planning & Design (APDesign) is a selective admission college. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 is required to be eligible for admission, however it does not guarantee admission. Placement is also based on available space. Admission is based on successful completion of all required courses, cumulative grade point average (GPA) and faculty review of an electronic portfolio of work completed in JCCC studios. Applicants must have grades of “C” or better in all non-studio-based courses with grades of “B” or better in studio-based courses. APDesign cannot accept course with a grade of CR or NCR to meet requirements in our degree programs. All JCCC courses listed in the articulation agreement must be completed by end of the Spring term prior to attending K-State. Begin in the second year of Architecture, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Landscape Architecture, or Regional and Community Planning for 4 years at K-State Environmental Design Studies is the required first-year program of the professional degrees offered in the AP-Design. This option leads to an accredited master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Landscape Architecture, or Regional and Community Planning. The first year Environmental Design Studies program provides an introduction to a way of seeing and thinking about the environments we occupy.
