Program Description

  • Rockhurst University uses a holistic review process when considering applications for admission.
  • At least 50 percent of the upper-division business hours required for the business degree must be earned at Rockhurst.
  • The BSBA is offered with concentrations in Traditional Accounting – Accounting/MBA, Corporate Accounting and Finance, Financial Markets and Economic Analysis, International Business, Management, Marketing, Marketing Analytics, and Social Impact.
  • JCCC’s Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees meet most of Rockhurst’s general education requirements. Students will need to take 3-4 additional courses to fulfill Rockhurst Core Requirements. Transfer credit is evaluated on a course-by-course basis if a student doesn’t have an Associate of Arts. The maximum number of credit hours accepted from JCCC is 64 credit hours.
  • Visit the Rockhurst General Education Guide for JCCC equivalents.

It is the STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY to check for updates to all transfer information. This transfer guide is provided as a service and is updated as needed. Degree requirements at the four-year colleges are subject to change by those institutions. To ensure you have the most accurate information about the program, you must meet with an advisor at the transfer institution.

Please note since BLAW 261 is a lower division course that is equivalent to MG 3400 Business Law and Commercial Transactions, an upper division course that is required for The Helzberg School of Management Core at Rockhurst, students will need to take another upper division Management course to fulfill the upper division credit hour requirement at Rockhurst.

-

Please note since MKT 230 is a lower division course that can’t transfer as an equivalent to the required MK 3000 Principles of Marketing, an upper division course that is required for The Helzberg School of Management Core at Rockhurst. However, students that transfer MKT 230 with a “C “or higher, Rockhurst will allow students to take another upper division Marketing course to fulfill that BSBA requirement.
