Program Description 

JCCC and K-State agree to provide the courses listed in the curriculum guide below as a joint education program that will enable students to meet the requirements for the Associate of Business Administration, AAS degree at JCCC and the Bachelor of Science in Personal Financial Planning at K-State. It is also agreed that the courses required for the Business Administration, AAS at JCCC will be accepted by K-State as meeting the requirements for the first five semesters of the Bachelor of Science degree in Personal Financial Planning at K-State. Personal Financial Planning is available in Manhattan, Olathe and Online.

Admission Requirements

  • The College of Health and Human Sciences at K-State offers a major in Personal Financial Planning with the following track options: Agricultural Economics, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Family Financial Planning, Investment Management, Sales or Optional Concentration.
  • A minimum of 120 hours are required for graduation with a BS in Personal Financial Planning at K-State.
  • The Personal Financial Planning program is registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board), meaning you will not only earn your Bachelor of Science in Personal Financial Planning, but upon successful completion of the program, you are eligible to sit for the CFP® exam. The Personal Financial Planning program is the only program at K-State that offers classes that meet the educational requirements for the CFP® certification.
  • Transfer grades do not become part of your K-State GPA but may be referenced for consideration into specific programs.
  • A grade of "D" will transfer to K-State but may not count toward degree requirements.
