TRANSFER ADMISSION PROCEDURES/QUALIFICATIONS 

Application: 

  • Available online at www.stmary.edu
  • $25 application fee (contact USM about waiver eligibility)
  • Term Starts:  Leavenworth - Terms begin in January and August.   
  • Overland Park - Rolling Terms begin in January, March, May, August and October. 

Transcripts: 

  • Request official transcripts from all previous accredited colleges and universities to be sent to the Admissions Office. 

Transfer  Qualifications: 

  • Courses must be completed at accredited post-secondary institutions.
  • GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale will be considered for admission.
  • Credit is given only for courses in which the grade earned is “C” or above. EXCEPTION: Students will be given full credit for all courses within the degree provided they meet other transfer guidelines. The grade of “F” is never transferred.
  • Up to 96 semester credit hours may be applied toward the university’s 120 credit hour degree program. Credits from other sources, including those earned at 4-year universities, standardized tests (AP, CLEP), or ACE recommended credit for military training, are welcome. No more than 96 credit hours from any source or combination of sources can apply to the university’s 120 credit hour degree program. 

Readmission: 

  • Readmission applies to any student that has earned credit at Saint Mary and has stepped out for one year or more. The student must apply for readmission. He or she must be in good academic and financial standing with the University. 

International Students: 

  • International students interested in attending the University of Saint Mary are encouraged to begin the admission process at least 90 days prior to enrolling in order to allow enough time for processing records. Further details are available at https://www.stmary.edu/international

TUITION/FEES 

Tuition: 

  • Main Campus Leavenworth: Undergraduate $17,095 per full-time semester –                                   (before scholarships – subject to change) 
  • Johnson County Campus: Undergraduate Degree Completion $425 per credit hour (subject to change)   Graduate $410 - $665 per credit hour (before discounts – subject to change)
  • Senior Citizens discount (age 62 at enrollment): 60% discount on tuition
