Transfer Admission Procedures/Qualifications

Application to apply for UMGC. The application fee is waived for students, faculty, staff and spouses and dependents.

Undergraduate Applicants

Our admissions advisors can review unofficial transcripts to give you a tentative transfer credit evaluation. However, for admissions purposes, you are required to submit official transcripts from every institution previously attended, including high school and college(s). After we evaluate your official transcripts, you'll have a roadmap of the classes you need to complete your degree.

Contact any previous U.S. institutions you attended to request that your official transcripts be sent to UMGC. If your previous institution offers a secure electronic method to send your transcripts, that option is recommended. If a "send-to" e-mail address is required, please send to student records for review. Otherwise, you may submit your official transcripts by mail in a sealed, unopened envelope issued by your previous institution/s.

Admissions decisions occur on a rolling basis. Students can enroll immediately in UMGC courses.

Standard Graduate Program for Fall 2025/2026: $659 per credit.

Specialty Graduate Programs for Fall 2025/2026: $694 per credit.

Doctoral Programs for Fall 2025/2026: $1,087 per credit.

Alliance Tuition Discount for the Community College Leadership Doctoral Program for Fall 2025/2026: $815.25 per credit.
