WEB 130 Content Management Systems* (3 Hours)
Prerequisites or corequisites: WEB 110.
This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of Content Management Systems (CMS). Students will learn to set up, customize, and manage CMS websites, utilizing themes, plugins, and media management tools. Emphasis will be placed on understanding CMS architecture, creating functional, user-friendly websites, and addressing key considerations such as security, usability, and ongoing site maintenance. By the end of the course, students will be able to deploy a basic CMS-based website, apply best practices for content organization and optimization, and create a tailored maintenance guide for clients.
