Program Description

Students who have completed an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree from JCCC will automatically receive a general education waiver from Graceland. Upon completion of at least 56 semester hours of transfer credit, JCCC students will have junior standing at Graceland.

Students who transfer to Graceland without a degree will have all coursework evaluated on a course-by-course basis.  JCCC students not completing an A.A. or A.S. degree should refer to the "less than 48 hours" requirements listed below.

In order to follow the alternative general education requirement, a JCCC transfer student must have earned a minimum of 48 semester hours of transfer credit, and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 prior to standing Graceland courses. Refer to the alternative general education program requirements listed below.

Requirements for Baccalaureate degrees:

  • 39 upper division semester hours (3000 and 4000 level courses)
  • 2.00 grade point average on all work and 2.00 average in major(s)
  • 30 of the last 60 semester hours taken immediately prior to graduation must be through Graceland
  • A recognized major or equivalent

    • Completion of the required General Education program or, for eligible transfer students, the alternative general education program, or general education waiver.
