Program Description

The USM adult degree-completion program is ideally suited for students who have completed roughly two years of college (approximately 60 credit hours), although those with fewer credit hours are accepted. 

Admission Requirements: 

Other admission requirements are: 

  • Completed application and $25 application fee
  • Official transcripts from all previous colleges and universities attended
  • Minimum grade point average of 2.0 (on a scale of 4.0) A 2.75 cumulative GPA will be required for full acceptance into the teacher education program.
  • Students must make formal applications for admission to the teacher education program after one semester at the University of Saint Mary.
  • The Associate of Arts degree at JCCC requires completion of 60 credit hours. Students who have earned the A.A. at JCCC are considered to have met the University of Saint Mary general education requirements, with the exception of three hours of Theology.
  • Please note: The University of Saint Mary is not participating in the Kansas (KBOR) Systemwide General Education framework or the Kansas (KBOR) Systemwide Elementary Education Transfer Program.
